- The U.S. refused to fight on Cambodia or Laotian territory so supplies remained safe.

- Offensive launched by the North Vietnamese Army (NVA)
- Surprises Americans
- Is played up as a major victory for the North although very littler is achieved
- Public relations victory
- Anti- war demonstrations increase as a result
Summary: The Vietcong utilized the Ho Chi Minh trail to deliver supplies on a route through cambodia. This Route was of extreme value to the Vietcong forces throughout the war.
